After years of witness and observation during their stay in Cambodia, FRA Founder Yang Wei-lin and the agency's volunteers found that schooling was distant dreams for many minors living in ru-ral backwater areas. A majority of parents who worked as coolies could not afford to send their children to school.
Schooling was an impossible dream for children from other poor families where elder brothers or sisters would have to take care of their younger siblings, cook for them, even having to pick up re-cyclable waste in the street for some petty money to support the family.
